Caring for a hedgehog until you get to a rescue

Use a deep sided plastic box. A recycling box is ideal.

Place a hot water bottle in the box.

Cover the hot water bottle with a towel.

Place the hedgehog on the towel near the hot water bottle.

Cover the hedgehog with another towel.

Add a large spoon of cat food to a bowl, mushed.

Add warm water to the mushed food.
Mix to get a thick soup consistency.
Put the food and water in with the hedgehog and phone a rescue. Remove food and water before transporting.
